Two men charged with stealing and damaging C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue Trailer; trailer stripped for parts
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Two men have been charged with thieving and damaging an adoption trailer from C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue on November 19.
Daniel J. Butts and Robert D. Hopkins are both billed with to start with-diploma felony thieving and residence problems.
According to a push launch, deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office environment and the Webster County Sheriff’s Office searched a house in the 900 block of South Ranch Highway in Webster County.
Deputies have been equipped to uncover the trailer on the assets but seen it had been destroyed. In accordance to C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue, the trailer was stripped for areas and the best and sides were taken out and slice into many items, the generator and enclosures are missing and the air conditioner is inoperable.
C.A.R.E. shared photographs of the trailer when deputies identified it on the Webster County residence.
The trailer was stolen from behind the rescue’s C.A.R.E. Pet Providers Middle on West Battlefield.

In accordance to a past report, a tipster termed the Greene County Sheriff’s Business office with a description of the driver.
“We experienced a caller give us a tip that they had spotted the vehicle with the trailer hooked up just 5 minutes soon after it was stolen in the space of West Bypass and Kearney Street. She explained the driver as a white male with a darkish-colored beard, dark hair experienced coveralls on,” according to Greene County Deputy Paige Rippee. The witness experienced prepared on flagging down the truck driver to allow them know they had some destruction to the passenger side wheel on the trailer. But she couldn’t hold up with them.

Butts and Hopkins are being held in the Greene County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
