For the 2nd calendar year in a row, neighborhood pet enthusiasts are invited to donate essential animal materials and create their possess fleece pet blankets for sheltered animals at the North Suburban YMCA’s cost-free Pet Blanket Making party from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 19.

The blankets and other pet provides will be donated to Wright-Way Rescue, Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter and Heartland Animal Shelter.
